Show Notes:
Principles:
- We should never hide behind our love for God as an intentional means to dishonor our parents.
- Our ultimate devotion should be to Jesus, but we are not to stop honoring our father and mother.
- If our parents’ counsel isn’t informed by God’s Word, it might look like we hate their counsel. You should always follow the counsel of Jesus.
- Never sacrifice your devotion to Jesus.
- If your parents are not in the Lord, honor them and don’t speak evil of them, but serve your King.
